class highlights
I have learned plenty about media during my sit in journalism 2. Honestly I did not know that television looked liked that when it was first invented. I had always thought they started out in clear black and white. I also was interested to see the start of advertising. I still see media as I had before except I just know more about it. The book just opened my eyes to what the basic structure of media, such as the manipulation of media in chapter 2: Media Impact.

Magazines
The title of my propsed magazine will be Hip-Hop Foolery. It will revolve around, but not limited to the stupid things that rappers do although they have money. Other various A-list celebrities will also be included in the bonus section. Many other magazines do celebrity gossip, but that is not their main articles. There have been many gossip magazines, but none of this caliber. My demographic mainly reaches out to readers that is 14 through 35 although all are encouraged to read. Five articles I might put in my magazine would be, "TI- King of C-block?", "Montana Fishburn (Laurence Fishburn's daughts) is making her mark, in porn????", "Top five celebrity sex tapes", "Da brat is jailed......AGAIN!!!", "Raz B and Ricky Romance: knocked the F*%K out." Five advertisers that would like my magazine would be facebook, twitter, youtube, worldstarhiphop and myspace.com.

The three most influential books I have read would have to be "The Autobiography of Malcom x," "The Autobiography of Martin Luther King Jr.," and "Bud, Not Buddy." They were all influential for the same reason which is that they all inspired me to be a better person, and it made me appreciate how good I have it in the world. They all involved racism, love, hate, and death. I just hate that some of those outcomes have had to come to pass in order for us to live as we do today.

My Media Autobiography
I'll have to start this autobiography by talking about the first type of media most of us are introduced to from birth: televison. The very first show i can functionally remember watching was Gullah Gullah Island. From then and there I was addicted to this thing that we call television. I can assume that we all use television. Television is informative, entertaining, and probably the most common type of media. When I was younger I can honestly say I was in love with reading. It started out as homework assignments, but it ended up as a way to not only expand my mind, but take it away. I started to turn away later on because I noticed the higher in education I got the more boring the reading material became. I still read, but the I tend to lean towards magazines. I was not too much into magazines until I came across my first King Magazine. After I discovered that, I got into Jet, Ebony, and Damn Magazine. I cannot say I am a continual subscriber, but when duty calls or if I am just patiently waiting it is all good. Newspapers are not getting read unless somebody I know is in the paper, I am in the paper, or too simply read the funnies. I guess it is because my grandma used to send me to the store in order to buy the local paper although I did not feel like it. Come to think of it I do not even read the funnies anymore. Radio is something I have recently given up also. It is not that I do not like the radio, it is just that they play the same songs in nearly a repeditive order. It is because of this that i switched to cd's for my musical pleasure. At least then I can play the dj. Movies are something I am real big on; espcially scary movies. Every since I saw halloween for the first time scary movies have just been my go to form of entertainment. Scary movies are the best point blank period. I have messed around with recordings such as cd's, mp3's, and I have even recording some things myself (nothing major). I listen to music regularly so recordings are a huge part of my life. The Internet is probably the biggest part of my life of them all. It is made up of all those things put together which is lovely. Whoever invented the internet deserves a nobel peace prize. I listen to music then go to youtube and watch some old school Kenan and Kel. It is pure excellence. The absolute best part of the media.
